New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program

New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) is a provincial immigration program made possible through an agreement with the Government of Canada. As an economic program, the NBPNP selects, and nominates, qualified business people and skilled workers from around the world who will live in New Brunswick and contribute to the local economy.

The Express Entry New Brunswick Labour Market Stream is new to the NBPNP. Potentialapplicantsare asked to complete anexpression of interestand submit it to the NBPNP. Details are provided on theNBPNP Express Entrypage. You must include your language test scores, Educational Credential Assessment result, and work experience in your expression of interest. The highest ranked candidates may be invited to apply to NBPNP Express Entry Labour Market Stream. After receiving provincial nominations,Citizenship and Immigration Canadawill then invite top ranking candidates toapply for permanent residence.

Immigration Program Officers review applications based on eligibility requirements and selection factors. You must meet eligibility requirements. You should also be aware that meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee nomination. Priority will be given to applicants who have the greatest potential to become economically established in New Brunswick.

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) is comprised of four streams:

  • Express Entry Applicants;
  • Skilled Worker Applicants with Employer Support;
  • Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support;
  • Business Applicants;

Express Entry Applicants

To submit an application under this category, Candidates must have following requirements:

  • A minimum of 67 points are required out of 100 points in following selection factors: .
    • First Official Language 24 (English Or French)
    •  Second Official Language 4 (English Or French)
    • Education 25
    • Age 12
    •  Experience 15
    •  Arranged Employment 10
    • Adaptability 10
  •  Have sufficient funds to settle in New Brunswick;
  • Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick.

Skilled Worker Applicants with Employer Support

To submit an application under this category, Candidates must:

  • Have a New Brunswick job offer from an employer based in New Brunswick – Employers must demonstrate that they are having difficulty finding these skills in the local job market;
  • Have at least 50 points on a self-assessment grid (Factors are age, education, business experience, language ability, and adaptability);
  • Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick.

Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support

To submit an application under this category, Candidates must have following requirements:

  • Have a close relative in who lives in New Brunswick;
  • Have at least 2 years of continuous work experience in intended occupation in New Brunswick;
  • Have the educational requirements needed to fulfill job duties in intended occupation;
  • Have sufficient funds to settle in New Brunswick;
  • Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick.

The close relative in Canada must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Be operating a business in New Brunswick or been employed in New Brunswick for at least 12 consecutive months;
  • Be financially self supporting.

Business Applicants

To submit an application under this category, Candidates must have following requirements:

  • Have relevant and proven management experience in three of the last five years;
  • Have sufficient funds to finance the first phase of a planned business venture without third party assistance and to support their family for a period of up to two years;
  • Have a personal net worth of at least $300,000 CAD;
  • Have an approved business plan or business proposal;
  • Participate in the business in an active managerial role;
  • Have an understanding of the business environment in New Brunswick and Complete an exploratory visit to New Brunswick;
  • Have at least 50 points on a self-assessment grid (Factors are age, education, business experience, language ability, and adaptability);
  • Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick;
  • Make a CDN $75,000.00 conditionally refundable deposit prior to nomination.
