Provincial Immigration Results (July 27th – August 2nd)

British Columbia (B.C.)

British Columbia conducted a targeted draw through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), inviting at least 147 candidates through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams, including the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option. These candidates were selected based on their education and ability to fill critical gaps in B.C.’s labour market.

Industry-Specific Cut-off Scores:

  • Childcare Workers: Minimum score of 89 (33 invites)
  • Construction Workers: Minimum score of 90 (27 invites)
  • Healthcare Workers: Minimum score of 101 (22 invites)
  • Tech Workers: Minimum score of 120 (64 invites)
  • Veterinary Care Workers: Minimum score of 80 (at least one invite)

The Skilled Worker category targets international workers with post-secondary education, training, and relevant professional experience in B.C. To qualify, candidates must have a full-time, permanent job offer in a skilled occupation from a B.C. employer. If the job requires certification or licensing, candidates must meet provincial requirements at the time of application. Paid co-op work placements are accepted as valid work experience if they were full-time and at a comparable NOC level.

Manitoba

Manitoba’s PNP (MPNP) held two immigration draws this week for skilled workers:

  1. Occupation-Specific Draw:
    • Stream: Skilled Worker in Manitoba
    • Invitations Issued: 145
    • Targeted NOC: 44101—Home support workers, caregivers, and related occupations
    • Broad Occupation Category: “3” (Healthcare occupations)
  2. Skilled Worker Overseas Draw:
    • Invitations Issued: 58
    • Minimum Score Required: 724
    • Requirement: Candidates needed to be invited under a “Strategic Recruitment Initiative” by the MPNP.

Out of the 203 invitations issued this week by the MPNP, 29 were extended to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile.
